We are planning a work day for this Saturday, Nov. 16th

We will be putting, railings and decking on a 75 foot bridge south of Quivira.

We would love to have a good turnout.

We will be starting at 8:00 am.   Please park on the north side of Quivira in the area of the flat bed railroad car.

Tools and items needed.  Work gloves, cordless impact drill if you have one with a T-25 bit for driving screws, bring an extra battery if you have one.  We will have electricity for charges for the batteries.

Don’t worry if you do not have a cordless impact drill there will be plenty of other ways to help.  Tape measure would be helpful.  These have usually in the past been fun and productive days.   Don’t hesitate to bring a friend and we love to have young people for helping to carry boards, etc.

We are planning on providing lunch, so it would be helpful to get an idea of how many volunteers we will have.  (No pulled pork this time.  My cook is going to be out of town!)

We will have saws.   If you know someone who can run a saw and is not able to bend up and down for putting down decking they would be perfect as our saw person!!

Please let me know if you plan on attending.

We are having a work day on the Meadowlark Trail Saturday, August 17th.  We will be working on the north of Quivira towards the missing bridge.  We still have lots of trimming to do before we can get the flatbed RR car moved.

We will be cutting overhead branches and trimming the trees back from Quivira to the “missing” bridge.  We will not have the luxury of having equipment to pick up what we cut, etc. but due to schedules we decided to go ahead with this project and we will remove the piles of debris at a later time.

We will work from 7:30 am to noon.

Meet at Quivira.

Items to bring:  Work gloves, loppers, chain saw if you have one and pole saws if you have one.

Please let me know if you will be available to help.

I am hoping to have a workday this Saturday, May 4th.  Staring time 9:00 am  and we will not work past noon.   Meeting at Quivira Road

We have an area under a bridge on the mile between Pueblo and Quivira that needs to be cleared of trees, some still standing and some have already fallen.

We will need some volunteers with chain saws.   Please let me know if you can help and if you will bring a chain saw.

Last time I looked at the weather there was only a 30% chance of rain.   Hopefully we will get lucky.

Please let me know if you will be available to help.
